JOB SUMMARY:
The EV Charging Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This position combines technical expertise with administrative responsibilities to guarantee the optimal performance of EV charging systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor the performance of EV charging systems, including hardware, software, and network components. Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted charging services.
- Provide technical support to users and customers encountering problems with EV charging systems. Troubleshoot issues remotely or on-site to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and updates of EV charging software systems. Ensure that software is up-to-date, secure, and compatible with hardware components.
- Analyze data collected from EV charging systems to identify usage patterns, trends, and potential areas for improvement. Use data insights to optimize charging station placement, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the network infrastructure supporting EV charging systems, including connectivity, security, and bandwidth optimization. Implement measures to safeguard against cybersecurity threats and ensure data privacy.
- Develop and deliver training programs for EV charging system users, including drivers, facility managers, and maintenance personnel. Educate users on best practices for efficient charging, safety protocols, and system features.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines pertaining to EV charging infrastructure. Ensure that charging systems comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure EV charging hardware, software, and maintenance services. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new EV charging infrastructure projects. Assess site suitability, design charging layouts, and coordinate installation activities to meet project timelines and objectives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proven experience in administering and maintaining EV charging systems or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical skills in electrical systems, networking, and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing EV charging infrastructure
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms used for EV charging system management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in electric mobility.

Physical Requirements:
- Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, type, and write.
- Reach with hands and arms, bend, stand on a stool, or climb, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Use standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, printers, photocopiers, etc.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Pay: $114,500.00 - $138,881.00
- The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
Schedule:
- Office-based role with occasional travel required to visit customer sites, attend industry events or meet with partners.
- Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate customer needs and support inquiries outside of standard business hours.
- A fast-paced work environment with the potential for high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
