As the
Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization against cybersecurity threats. Your responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and containing incidents in real-time. Your proactive approach to securing our systems and supporting strategic initiatives will be essential in mitigating the rising threat of cyberattacks.
- Analyzes, investigates, and responds to security threats from security data resources such as SIEM (Security Incident & Event Management), IDS/IPS, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) (Endpoint Detection and Response), Firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls
- Conducts incident response; monitors, documents, investigates, communicates, responds, and triages malicious activities.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve computer security incidents and vulnerability compliance.
- Reviews alerts and data from sensors and documents formal, technical incident reports
- Conducts log-based and endpoint-based threat detection to detect and protect against threats coming from multiple sources.
- Deploys cloud-centric detection to detect threats related to cloud environments and services used by the organization.
- Correlates network, cloud, and endpoint activity across environments to identify patterns of abnormal activity, attacks, and unauthorized use.
- Provides support on cyber threats, including mitigating actions to contain activity, and works with threat intelligence services/vendors on incidents, facilitating forensics analysis when necessary.
- Works with security information and event management (SIEM) vendor to manage the detection content, actively watch for alerts, and assign and take an active role in remediation efforts.
- Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of incidents.
- Perform security standards testing against computers before implementation to ensure security.
- Manage quarterly Vulnerability scanning and annual Pen Testing.
- Participate actively in Security Assessments, Gap analysis, Incident response tabletop exercises, and Disaster recovery planning.
- Supports the creation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans, including conducting disaster recovery tests, publishing test results, and making changes necessary to address deficiencies.
- Ensure that cybersecurity-enabled products or other compensating security control technologies reduce identified risk to an acceptable level.
- Participates in security awareness programming, tuning, and deployment.
- Prepares documentation, including policy development, standard operating procedures, and process flows.
What You Should Bring

- Education: Preferred BS in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience: At least two years in roles such as IT Audit, Risk Management, or similar, with direct experience in security operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud security (e.g., MS Sentinel, Azure AD (Active Directory)), endpoint protection (e.g., Sophos), and familiarity with email security and security training platforms.
- Certifications: Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), or actively pursuing Cyber Defense Professional courses. CompTIA Network+ (Net+) is also recommended.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal skills, self[1]motivation, and the ability to manage time effectively are the qualities that will make our team confident and capable in their roles.
