Associate Manager, Commercial Strategy and Operations as part of the
Commercial team based in
Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
The strategic planning and operations associate manager plays a crucial role in Legend’s US Commercial's organization. This position supports formulating and executing strategic initiatives, utilizing project management, operational, analytical skills.
In this role, the Associate Manager will work closely with senior leadership to manage commercial strategies that align with the US Commercial goals. They will also collaborate with various teams within the organization to ensure the execution of these strategies. This may involve collaborating with commercial partners to leverage research, analyzing data, and presenting recommendations to support decision-making processes.
The Associate Manager of Strategic Planning and Operations will also be responsible for tracking and monitoring the progress of strategic initiatives, providing updates to stakeholders, and identifying potential roadblocks or areas for improvement. Additionally, this role may involve managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Spearhead projects aligned with strategic initiatives, ensuring completion within stipulated timelines and budgets.
- Operations Management: Supervise daily operations, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness across processes and systems.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration with departments such as marketing, sales, training, operations to streamline strategic objectives and operational activities.
- Innovation and Improvement: Pinpoint areas for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to augment operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Budget Planning: Play a pivotal role in annual budget planning, managing timelines and deliverables efficiently.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure strategic and operational activities adhere to industry standards and comply with regulations to prevent potential legal issues.
- Commercial Legal Review: Oversee the medical, regulatory, legal review process, serving as the primary liaison for all medical, legal, and regulatory reviews, ensuring cross-channel alignment and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic planning, project management, or operations within the life science or biotech industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Skills/Competencies:
- Be detail-oriented in managing complex initiatives.
- Possess strong computer skills and experience with enterprise systems including MS Office.
- Demonstrated proficiency with productivity tools and portal technology, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and judgment skills to independently complete projects, as well as anticipate needs.
- Required to exercise sound judgment and discretion, independently assess and resolve complex situations and shift priorities as the need arises.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to coordinate multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and complete tasks autonomously.
- Generate new ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of communications programs and processes.
