Social Media Marketing Coordinator
This role will work closely under the Director of Social + Content and be responsible for editing and assisting in managing video content across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of social media trends, excellent video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere or CapCut, and be comfortable with filming and producing engaging content. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contribute innovative ideas, and play a key role in shaping our brand’s online presence. This role is required to work EST hours.
Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Edit and produce high-quality videos using CapCut or similar video editing software to create compelling and engaging content for social media platforms.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the Social Director to brainstorm, plan, film, and edit various types of content including promotional videos.
- Schedule and publish content across social media channels while ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging (X, Threads, LinkedIn, Meta).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and fulfillment to align social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize content performance and audience engagement.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, respond promptly and appropriately, and assist in engaging with followers.
- Assist in managing social media accounts, including profile optimization and audience growth strategies.
- Monitor key metrics to assess social media campaign success, generate optimization insights, and help prepare monthly reports on performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling content.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Experience with graphic design and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Previous experience working in a social media or digital marketing role.
- A genuine interest in and understanding of various social media platforms and their respective audiences.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization for search engines.
