On December 31, 2021 while I convalesced on my couch, I received a notification that a $200 charge had just been made on my account at a Juicy Crab restaurant. I had not tasted a buttery drop of a crab leg, and, with my credit card sitting safely in my purse, I realized that I had been a victim of a cybersecurity attack.
As a lifelong DIYer and creative, I've always enjoyed gaining new skills. A long-time student of psychology, I'm naturally analytical, solution focused and pride myself on observing people, patterns and systems. I have worked in regulatory compliance, policy development/implementation and headed cross-departmental collaborations and training efforts. Now as a Cybersecurity professional, I’m combining those abilities and experiences with my bachelor's degree and new skills and knowledge such as threat intelligence system, network security, incident management, regulatory frameworks, and vulnerability and risk management. My mission is to not only help safeguard digital well-being but to ensure that technology is a force for good.
*No juicy crabs were harmed in the crafting of this statement.
