IT Field Engineer

While at Capital Pacific Bank, I worked with an amazing team of banking professionals who strove to grow our organization from a small start-up, to nearly one-quarter billion dollars in assets, all while taking an active role in the Portland community and operating as a B-Corp. I acted as the sole System Administrator and managed all aspects of Information Technology in a muti-host Hyper-V environment. This included Active Directory and Exchange management, workstation and server configuration, and supporting various pieces of financial industry software. I even had the chance to do some light networking while deploying firewalls, switches, and VPN appliances. I was placed in charge of many initiatives at Capital Pacific Bank, including the migrations to Server 2012R2, and implementing load balanced Terminal Services farms.

Some of my achievements as System Administrator of Capital Pacific Bank include decreasing trouble ticket incidents by 42% in my first year, restructuring Active Directory/Group Policy to improve performance, performing nearly full scale DR testing at off-site locations, and staying on top the latest technologies including Application Virtualization and VDI. I stayed on with the bank until the company was acquired by Pacific Continental Bank, and am proud of my work to ensure a smooth transition into their IT environment.
