I'm passionate about figuring out new and creative uses for technology in order to achieve success for the companies I work for. I have multiple patents in data mining and business intelligence, because I believe if the technology doesn't exist, invent it. However, when email isn't working, talking about innovation isn't that important. Therefore my focus is to always maintain a well run, secure and compliant operation.
It's important to me to be a great leader and mentor, and I learn something new every day from those I work with. It's only with an open mind, that we all achieve success. I don't believe in an open-door policy, because I don't believe there should even be a door (I've been known to have mine removed)…
I've used technology to deliver information to anyone, anywhere in the world, anytime they need it. I've had the honor of leading great teams, with amazing people, at companies such as
Platform Specialty Products, Covanta Energy, and Johnson & Johnson. Along the way, I've been part of some incredible transformations and have been recognized with Top 100 CIO's in STEM 2015, Computerworld's 2014 Premier 100 IT Leader Award, and the CIO Top 100 Award in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
I strongly believe in giving back, and therefore I serve as a career mentor both for Columbia University's Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program, as well as the CIO Executive Council Pathways program.
