Experience:
I'm one of a team of great leaders in State Farm's Security Operations Center. I currently lead 3 different teams. The first team supports State Farm's Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platform. They also build/enable self-service tools for our consumers, provide automation guidance to the Information Security Department and build/maintain custom SOAR apps. My second team takes advantage of the SOAR platform and is 100% dedicated to writing automation for our Incident Responst team that reduces security event/incident investigation time, improves accuracy of investigations, takes remediation actions and minimizes the time to mitigate. My third team owns/manages our cloud SaaS service for security Incident Management. Prior to leading these three teams, I co-lead our Incident Response team where I not only lead a team of analysts, but also acted as incident commander in security incidents, was directty responsible for incident communications, working with all levels of leadership across the enterprise and actively driving post-incident changes to imrpove our security posture. Lastly, I previously led the SOC's Strategy and Metrics team tasked both with driving our overall SOC strategy while compiling and sharing metrics that help tell our story.

Information Security Manager
I managed a team of Architecture Analysts and provided architecture direction to the Protective Technologies space within Information Security. The Protective Technologies space encompasses numerous NIST Protect capabilities including, firewall, anti-malware, web filtering/proxy, IDS/IPS, Windows client/server OS security, amongst several technologies and security capabilities. In this role I set an architectural vision for our product suite to focus on modernizing, automating and simplifying our security stack. My leadership and vision led to architectural decisions and redesigns of our entire email security stack and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions. In addition, that same vision and a partnership with our network infrastructure teams also led to key decision and eventual modernization of our internet security controls. These decisions both aligned with our overall IT strategy and Information Security strategies and represented major, but necessary change to meet the challenges evolving threat landscape.
