I've spent the past seven years forging my way through the cyber + tech reporting worlds, starting as an intern at CNBC's San Francisco bureau the same summer the office opened. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2016, I took on the role of reporter/editor/intern supervisor at DC Inno, an American City Business Journals' property, and reported on the local innovation and startup scene in the District. Before hopping onto the cyber policy beat, I spent three years at Morning Consult covering all things tech policy (and briefly brands/advertising). I got my cyber reporting sea legs while at POLITICO writing the daily Morning Cybersecurity newsletter.
I only accept PR pitches at my email — sam.sabin@axios.com — not via DMs, cold-calling or Signal. Thanks!
