Designing security solutions that end-users adopt is critical. I was an early advocate of zero-trust SASE technologies as I saw employees leaving the traditional office environment but still needing secure access to company data. In our current architecture program, we look at leveraging modern identity and access management technologies, together with human-centered policies and procedures, to protect our most critical information.
I am also excited about the changing roles of Boards of Directors and cybersecurity governance. The upcoming SEC regulations in the US and the constantly expanding privacy laws around the world bring these topics out of the IT shop and into the boardroom. It's encouraging to see Boards embrace this change and companies like ours begin to leverage cybersecurity throughout the business.
