Company: Microsoft
As an aviation safety officer, I was responsible for the overall safety program of my unit, which involved identifying work hazards, accident trends, and creating a safer work environment to limit injuries and damage. In my role as the Intelligence specialist on a team I was the subject matter expert for digital forensics and threat analysis. Prior to that role I served as the communications specialist and handled all setup, tear down, and maintenance for communications and networking equipment. These roles have enabled me to develop strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, which I believe are essential for cybersecurity professionals. Additionally, I have acquired multiple certifications in cybersecurity, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT), Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and skills in digital forensics (GCFA), cybersecurity incident response, and cybersecurity tools.
