After acquisitions, I led the migration of the applications I was responsible for from a small onsite physical data center to two virtual enterprise-scale data centers and ultimately to the cloud in AWS. As a working manager, I also spearheaded many of the strategic projects for our division. My management style is diplomatic, and I try to act as a servant leader. This encompassed my immediate onshore team as well as multiple offshore teams.
After 19+ years with my prior employer, I decided to take a planned career break and finish up my BS CSIA. I currently have two classes left to complete my MS CSIA. These were long-time personal goals.
I’m passionate about cyber security and being hands-on. I utilize many tools for training including StationX, TryHackMe and my virtual VMware lab environment. I needed a change and challenge, and this field certainly provides both.

PERSONAL:
I love the outdoors and Maine. My family moved to Maine a little over three years ago from southwest Florida. It was quite a paradigm change. Since that time, we’ve worked to build a small homestead and be as self-sufficient as possible.
When I’m not studying cyber security, gardening, or tending to other chores I enjoy reading, chess, and bird watching in my backyard. I can’t stop putting up different feeders and feed. I also get joy from walking outside with my wife and three dogs, Rudy, a German Short-Haired Pointer, Maya, a Bullmastiff, and our newest addition Odin, a Bullmastiff puppy.
