I am currently working for EmblemHealth as a Systems Engineer supporting Emblem's two Citrix farms. I have developed strong Citrix and VMWare skills over the past five years and hope to keep building on those skills.
Currently we are using Xenapp 6.5 to published application and hosted shared desktop to the various user groups at EmblemHealth. Of course this is all done using provisioned write only images that myself and team maintain to better support the business side.We use XenDesktop 7.5 to allow users remote access physical desktops using Citrix's VDA. We use Netscalrs as the entrance point from external connections.
As my team is small(two engineers and one manger) we need to handle the farms between the three of us which means that we have to maintain and manage our own vSphere 5.5 to host the XenApp provisioning servers, session hosts, storefront servers controllers, licence server and our SQL box. We do a touch of desktop engineering as well as we have to go through the issues of getting legacy applications or applications that do not like to live in a multiple user session host to work.
I really do enjoy working with the above technologies. I feel that I have become well versed and talented working inside Xenapp/Desktop and VMWare. I wouldn't say I am 100% with Netscalars but I can get the load balancing to work.

System Engineer
I started at Emblem Health as a Desktop Technician. My duties included supporting users at the 3 Albany, NY sites that Emblem Health runs. This was roughly 300 users. This support included software support, hardware support, remote user support, desktop imaging and on site windows server support, basic network troubleshooting and Multi Function Printer support. I was moved to a Desktop Engineering position for 2 months prior to Hurricane Sandy and then was moved into the Client Server group during the Disaster Recovery efforts to bring back Emblem's data centers and virtual environments. Once our DR was over I was then moved to a new team that become Emblem's Citrix Support.
