• Scheduled, organized and directed the Tier II Technical Support team. This 8-member team provided support for issues involving network operations, server administration, AS/400 operations, and firewall services throughout the Boyd organization.
• Managed the redesign of the corporate firewall systems, to provide redundant failover, tighter security, and ease of system administration.
• Supervised the design, purchasing and installation of the core network infrastructure to provide a fully redundant system that supported the internal server farms, backup systems, and web-based services for the organization.
• Lead a 5-member team responsible for evaluating and selecting telecommunication and data solution providers for the 15 gaming establishments and multiple corporate offices in the Boyd organization. These services spanned long distance and toll-free telephone services, voice and web-based collaboration services, and both Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Metro-Ethernet data network services.
