I have spent my entire professional career of 11 years at JPMorgan Chase working in cybersecurity as an Information Security Manager. I continue to remain in this position because I have a fascination with understanding the latest technology trends, the evolving threat landscape, and the security opportunities for both on-prem and cloud solutions. It's exciting for me to dive into secure design application reviews, analyzing the latest vulnerability trends and coordinating risk mitigation responses with my stakeholders. Over the years, I have applied these reviews to multiple solutions including multiple vendor and internally developed solutions hosted over Public Cloud, On-Prem, and hybrid models.
Additionally, I have accrued years of experience interpreting, applying, and communicating security policies and procedures, giving me a vast understanding of optimal risk governance for any organization. This knowledge has been supplemented by additional training materials especially around CISSP and AWS (certified Cloud Practitioner).
Finally, I have also accrued years of experience managing and supporting dozens of audits in JPMorgan Chase, including not only internal audits but also external audits and certifications, especially HIPAA/HITRUST, PCI, SOC1&2, and SOX. Through this experience, I have not only learned a great deal on how these audits operate, but also how to best respond and evidence audit RFIs depending on the framework.
As an extroverted, social risk manager, I pride myself on my ability to generate strong connections with my stakeholders by creating an environment of friendliness, cooperation, commitment, and encouragement. It's my number one goal on a personal level to make people feel as comfortable as possible and to encourage them to strive for their full potential
