Training new Cybersecurity Specialists the job responsibilities of Host Based Security System (HBSS) administrator, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Security Manager and various other accounts such as Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS), Forescout, and Tanium Client to perform essential job duties.
Tasked with ensuring new Cybersecurity VMT contractor accounts are provisioned in a timely
and effective manner by completing the following; ensure all training requirements are complete
for each type of account, and Identity and Access Management (IdAM) verification is accurate
and complete by completing System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs).
Analyze and maintain security posture across the 1st Network Battalion 7 Base Post Stations
through usage of Host Based Security System (HBSS); common duties include installing
McAfee modules, tracking agents, updating and maintaining dashboards, and reviewing
generated event logs.
Actively scanning and reporting on all assets within the region (30,000+ endpoints) using ACAS
(Tenable.sc) to ensure all critical vulnerabilities are discovered and remediated.
Conduct Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) in accordance with Risk Management
Framework (RMF) per NIST to create actionable goals for remediating vulnerabilities within the
network.
Create and audit ACAS accounts for 1 st Network Battalion area of responsibility.
Conduct vulnerability and compliance assessments against systems and networks to determine
risk posture and ensure end clients are in compliance with OPORDs and TASKORDs and
HBSS.
Scanned assets with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tool and Security Technical
Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists to achieve a better security posture for both Command
Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) and Assessment and Accreditation (A&A).
