I led a complete transformation of cybersecurity at Philips, initiating and delivering a two year improvement program that has created an enterprise wide information security function. I, along with my FTE team, have developed a novel approach that has created a business-focused organization underpinned by the fusion of technical research, digital and human intelligence, operations, government affairs, and risk management. I developed an intent focused approach to delivering security, driving to answer the why behind security events to better improve the security posture of the enterprise. My technical teams generated groundbreaking security technologies that have been recognized by government organizations and industry peers.
I built a strong security organization of 135 FTE spread across 4 countries : United States, Netherlands, India, and China. By taking an in-sourced, captive approach, I built a team that is dedicated to Philips first and can act aggressively to solve complex issues. We drive to maintain a below benchmark staffing and spend rate so we can continue to deliver great value without uncontrolled spending.
