Position Summary
The Asset Analyst-IT, Supv work includes administration of information technology hardware and software assets, licensing and service contracts. Administers the normal operations of processes including data analysis, exception identification, reporting, and tracking compliance. Helps to ensure that the mechanics of the processes are monitored, identifies opportunities for improvements, and works with the Vendor Lifecycle Management leadership to implement. Leads in the resolution of complex work requests, development and implementation of asset management systems, maintains standards and procedures for software procurement to ensure appropriate license and entitlements are appropriately managed.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the administration of software and hardware assets, licensing and service contracts. Experience working with IT Vendors to include lifecycle management. Good understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies. Develop and implement tools, processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective manner. Ability to manage large budgets for IT assets. Lead role in enterprise license true up and reconciliation, assist with dispute resolutions and recommend audit defense initiatives. Audits inventory (physical and automated) for variances with CMDB records. Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills are necessary, as well as, proficient written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a professional image and ensure communication is understood by the listener. Project management experience is a plus. Other related functions include facilitate, build consensus, persuasiveness, and lead a team.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement tools, processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective manner.
- Communicate IT processes, policies and procedures to team, coworkers and customers.
- Continuously assesses tool capabilities for software discover, inventory, and meter software use for key vendor products.
- Coach and/or mentor Team Members to enable their growth in the IT department.
- Determine team goals and objectives that contribute to achieving operational and strategic results.
- Work with Vendor Lifecycle Management team and Legal to interpret software agreements, determine use rights and provide key terms and conditions summaries.
- Resolving non-compliance issues and ensure existing and planned future usage complies with the use rights.
- Lead role in enterprise license true-up and reconciliation, assist with dispute resolutions and recommend audit defense initiatives.
- Supervise internal audits and external audits of hardware and software assets as required.
- Reviews all asset discrepancies, assesses and provides variance resolution to include performing internal audit.
- Provide impact assessments on all pending or potential architectural changes, outlining incremental license or maintenance costs due to change and pinpointing any potential cost mitigation opportunities based on license use metrics or product use changes.
- Stays informed of new and updated IT asset models and options for key vendor products.
- Actively assesses risk and cost for recommendations to Software Owners and Asset Management leadership to optimize the software asset portfolio.
- Audits inventory (physical and automated) for variances with CMDB records.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Healthcare or a related field.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills are necessary; as well as, proficient written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a professional image and ensure communication is understood by the listener.
- Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies
- Must understand hardware technology and configurations including virtualization
- Proficiency with office productivity software (MS Office Suite, including Excel to review large data sets) and SharePoint Preferences
- Familiar with Enterprise inventories, including techniques such as scanning, ongoing electronic inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of IT Asset Management principals / practices
- Knowledge of product use rights for publishers such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, HP, EMC, Symantec, Adobe, etc.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Experience
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in an IT Asset Management function.
