Chief Technology Officer (CTO):

Microsoft, Carta and Amazon have already invested in technology partnerships with us. We can use endless resources including GPU/FPGA in Azure. We are a small but highly seasoned team of 12 people. Our video pitch deck is great, we have a Chief Investment Officer that is a veteran at raising capital and have patent, global PCT and TM pending. We will be coming out of stealth shortly.

As our CTO, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our business goals and supports our growth plans. You will supervise all technical aspects of our stealth health-tech AI driven company, accelerate digital innovation within the organization and lead technical staff to ensure that products and services are developed efficiently. This is a high-touch, hands-on role that will require you to attract, retain and grow the technology team. We are in month five of our company and already have a working prototype, demo and investor interest. We are doing provider demos to medical doctors based on our existing build every few weeks already just from word of mouth.
You would also have responsibility and accountability for data science and DevOps. There is potential that this role could grow into a co-founder but, you would need to be an immense executor that is polished in business and technology matters.
Our CEO/founder is an ex-CTO and ex-CISO with 29 years of experience and a substantial global exit. Objectives of this role
- Identifying and evaluating the latest technologies, assessing their potential for strategic advantage and business impact based on existing infrastructure, codebase and data science growth.
- Collaborating closely with executive leadership, business units, and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and drive technology-enabled business initiatives.
- Providing strong open leadership and guidance to the technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, communication and continuous learning globally.
- Accelerating innovation initiatives to enhance our products, services and processes for optimum efficiency.
- Managing relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions and services.
- Directly oversee the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology systems, software solutions and infrastructure.
Your tasks
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy tailored and aligned with the company's business objectives, scalability and operational efficiency.
- Create and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards and industry’s best practices.
- Establish and maintain efficient and reliable technology operations, including systems infrastructure, network, data management and security protocols for high performance, uptime and data integrity.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring data privacy and security regulations compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Stay aware of the latest tech advancements to provide strategic insights and recommendations for maintaining our technological edge.
- Document and comment code, regularly commit, review and merge code.
- Lead a weekly engineering meeting, have 1:1's with your team weekly, attend weekly stand-up and weekly all hands along with your team.
Required skills and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a VP/Sr. Director or Sr. Director of Engineering/Development, preferably in the global startup health-tech market.
- Demonstrated success in managing IT infrastructure, IT budgets, hands-on software development and systems architecture.
- Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices and the Indian market's technology landscape.
- Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing data-driven decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making.

Preferred skills and qualifications
- A master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS, Azure and/or CISSP.
- Ability to think tactically and translate business objectives into parallel technology initiatives.
- Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the Indian market.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies for software development/delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
