In a world where there are 1.4 Billion unbanked and global payments run on legacy infrastructure built 20 to 40+ years ago, we need a massive overhaul. We are building this. About the role
Mural is in a critical growth phase. We have grown rapidly and are building a talented team to accelerate this trajectory. You’ll work directly with our founder and growth team to scale our pipeline and deliver on ambitious sales goals. As the first Sales hire, you’ll be uniquely positioned to build strategies, test hypotheses, and invest in successful channels.
- Prospect and Lead Generation. Focus on identifying potential clients, generating leads, and building a robust sales pipeline. You'll use your understanding of the market and our buyer personas to reach out to potential customers, creating opportunities for business expansion.
- Deal Closing. We have a lot of leads in our piepline, you will have the opportunity to close some very important deals that will further propel Mural’s trajectory. You are great at closing deals and you are hungry to take on different challenges with prospective clients from around the world, notably in Latam, Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Building. You will engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and effectively present Mural's solutions. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate on Sales Strategy. Work closely with the growth team to refine sales approaches and strategies. Your on-the-ground insights will be crucial for adjusting tactics and improving our sales methodology.
- Build Acquisition Strategy. You’ll own our sales strategies and identify the key channels in which we can scale our customer acquisition efforts. You’ll be a thought leader who is excited to take a scrappy approach, brainstorm and launch new experiments, A/B tests, and double down upon early signs of success.
- Scale a world-class team. We’re looking for someone to build the playbook the team will operate against as it grows. You’ll be empowered to recruit and get the most out of a high-performing, efficient team.
- Execute a broad mandate. You’ll roll up your sleeves and get to work removing blockers to our company’s growth, recognizing that this will change and develop as the business matures. You aren’t afraid to dive in and help us solve other business problems as needed.

About you
- 2+ years of Experience at an Early-Stage Startup. Experience building and owning processes for sales teams at the earliest stages. You know the hard work and flexibility involved at high-growth startups.
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills. You can communicate effectively, persuasively, and concisely. Your negotiation skills help you close deals and foster long-term client relationships.
- Strong Analytical Skills. You are adept at analyzing market trends, identifying potential leads, and understanding client needs.
- Highly Motivated and Target-Driven. You are proactive, eager to meet and exceed sales targets, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve business objectives.
- AI and Prompt Engineering Acumen. You are skilled in leveraging AI tools to identify leads, optimize sales processes, and personalize client interactions, thus enhancing efficiency and innovation in sales strategies.
- Team Player and Passionate. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and share our passion for innovation and excellence. You are driven and enthusiastic about significantly impacting a growing startup.
- Bonus. Proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools like HubSpot, Outreach, etc., and a good understanding of blockchain technology and digital currency payments.
