The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by meeting with potential clients to understand their cybersecurity and IT infrastructure needs and recommending tailored managed services solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure, combined with excellent communication and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement: Meet with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements related to cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure.
Solution Development: Collaborate with the sales team to design and propose customized managed services solutions that address clients specific needs and challenges.
Technical Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our cybersecurity and managed services offerings.
Consultative Selling: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity best practices and IT infrastructure optimization.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and implementation timelines, in collaboration with the sales and technical teams.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity and managed services.
Sales Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, including technical qualification, solution design, and proposal development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles within the cybersecurity and IT managed services industry.
Strong technical background in cybersecurity principles, cloud computing, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with industry-leading cybersecurity tools and technologies.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding sales targets.
Willingness to travel to meet with clients as needed.
The role involves frequent travel, supporting multiple sales teams and covering territories from the Valley to Long Beach to Ventura County, spending approximately 20-30% of the week on the road driving to meetings and conducting in-person engagements.
