Qualifications
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex environment
•
Proven track record of developing and implementing cybersecurity programs, policies, and procedures
•
Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics-based process improvement
•
Technical working knowledge of security tools and concepts including IDS/IPS; SIEM; Web Proxy, Encryption, Endpoint Security, Patch management, Vulnerability Scanning & Remediation, Forensics, Penetration Testing, DLP; Email Gateways, Anti-spam Services, MDM, Privileged Account Management, Log Analytics, Two Factor Authentication, Single Sign On
•
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization
•
Ability to nurture and support a strong operations culture - customer/service focus
•
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance frameworks, such as FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
•
Knowledge of applicable industry rules (including FERPA and HIPAA), and expertise in cybersecurity best practices and implementation of cybersecurity frameworks
