An Insight Global client and company in the eVTOL industry is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer! This Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions in Azure. The role will ensure the cloud systems adhere to organizational, industry, and security standards. An in-depth understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security is required to be successful in the role.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week and MUST be able to work directly on a W2 without sponsorship. Annual base salary is offered anywhere between $150,000 to $200,000 with a 10% bonus and additional benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, deploy and maintain complex Azure-based infrastructure and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for cloud-based projects
- Working with consultants and vendors on projects and/or for additional support
- Manage and optimize our data analytics infrastructure (Databricks and Snowflake), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining high availability
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code templates for deploying Azure resources
- Assisting with escalated support related to our Azure environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure-based infrastructure and applications
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in collaboration with our security team
- Manage and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network components
- Routinely review and suggest improvements to our Azure environment
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Act as a mentor to other cloud engineers and provide technical guidance and support
- May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel

Required skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field required
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and engineering, with a focus on Azure required
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience managing Databricks and Snowflake infrastructure
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or - Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are preferred
