Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, install, administer, test, and maintain the department’s software and hardware for servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Respond to and resolve server and network device issues, providing technical support to the IT HelpDesk for network or server-related computer issues.
- Address tickets using IssueTrack and resolve end user tickets throughout the waterworks department.
- Apply patches for security, antivirus, and upgrades on Windows 2000/2003 servers, Exchange 2007 servers, Blackberry Enterprise servers, and personal computers.
- Monitor backup files and systems for personal computers and systems using Veritas Backup Exec.
- Investigate logs and perform troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements: :
- 4 years of experience configuring routers and switches.
- Experience with ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of subnets.
- Experience with software implementation and backups.
- Proven problem-solving mindset with a focus on researching and resolving technical issues.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- CCNA certification.
- Microsoft MCNA or MCSE certification.
