Position Overview:
We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a focus on innovation, scalability, and privacy to lead our technology team. The ideal candidate will be a mentor passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning. As the Scalability Architect, you will develop and implement scalable frameworks for data analysis, while ensuring compliance with healthcare data regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable frameworks (standards, templates, and libraries) for software development and analysis required to
- Produce consistently high quality and uniform deliverables
- Scale our projects and products
- Protect patient privacy
- Protect patient safety (as defined by IHI)
- Guide the team in utilizing advanced analytics, including machine learning and AI approaches as needed, to derive actionable insights from Medicare claims data.
- Be responsible and accountable for our technology and data approach. Review of software development tools, data analysis tools and quality assurance technologies, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Maintain a hands-on role in solution architecture and engineering, providing expert guidance and support. Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and deliver value to clients. Oversee the solution architecture and engineering teams, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Take responsibility for quality assurance (QA) by designing and implementing data infrastructure, data flow, and auditing solutions.
- Transition to managing the engineering team, focusing on continuous improvement of data analysis capabilities.
- Ensure that CareSet complies with healthcare data regulations and standards in all data processing and analysis activities, as outlined in our Data Use Agreements (DUAs) and mandated by industry best-practice. Respond to external and conduct internal audits for cybersecurity, patient privacy, and quality control. Present patient privacy status reports to the Board.
- Develop the technology roadmap to enhance data science capabilities and align with overall business objectives.
- Approve new technical hires and ensure that they are properly trained to do their jobs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience in developing and implementing reliable and scalable frameworks for data analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience using Databricks and/or Python Notebooks to produce reliable and consistent results, in the context of specific privacy practices.
- Background in software development including Agile project management approaches
- Strong background in advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science.
- Experience with privacy analytics frameworks like Great Expectations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of healthcare data regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
