Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: An Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field normally required; specialized networking systems education and training.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient computer skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient knowledge of information technology functions including MIS, PC support, network administration, data communication, and routine PC maintenance and troubleshooting; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2016/2019, SQL Server, VMware VSphere, Cellular devices, knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, routing/switching protocols, and Telephony equipment and protocols; knowledge of Printers and network devices, security support & scanning, logging, patch management; support online channels; valid driver’s license; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions normally required.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the Information Technology Officer/Network Administrator with coordinating, installing, configuring, securing and maintaining the organization’s network; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other divisions or departments; support & maintain customer digital channels complying with operating policies and procedures established for the networking function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
Does not have authority to make decisions with respect to hiring, firing, demotions or significant reassignments.
Essential Duties
- Installs, configures, and maintains the organization’s network by performing the following duties:
- Configures and maintains the communications network of the organization, including routers, switches, firewalls, monitoring devices, etc. to ensure proper usage and appropriate security levels.
- Supports the organization’s server network and supporting software, including administering user profiles, permissions and passwords, and performing system backups.
- Support e-mail communication system, including administering user profiles, permissions and passwords, and ensuring uptime.
- Support customer online banking, mobile banking & any other digital channels.
- Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves system problems; assists all departments, contacting outside system engineers and alerting bank management when necessary.
- Configures and installs all PC workstations and printers for the organization.
- Configures, and installs all hardware, including user workstations such as PCs, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers.
- Assists users on aspects of server, software, and e-mail usage.
- Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to resources both locally and on the network.
- Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware and network operation problems.
- Researches and evaluates new technologies, under guidance of the Network Administrator.
- Installs software upgrades and ensures that all operating systems are appropriately patched.
- Collects and analyzes network and server utilization.
- Provides documentation as necessary to support IT objectives and operational specification needs.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other divisions and departments in order to insure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Complies with established operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the Bank's adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
