Field Service Technician – MSP
We seek a Field Service Technician – MSP to join an MSP company that supports small-medium-sized businesses with their everyday technology needs. Primary responsibilities include visiting local client sites in the area to perform troubleshooting of TCP/IP, Active Directory, Office365, Exchange, WAN, and VLAN, Firewalls, VMWare, etc. The Field Service Technician – MSP will also be responsible for the network’s server components’ maintenance, installation, and integrity, including systems backups. The Field Service Technician – MSP, will be an escalation point in the field.
The Field Service Technician – MSP will spend about 50% on-site server support for multiple SMB clients (local travel only). The Field Service Technician – MSP role will be an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming junior tech to gain exposure to emerging virtualization and cloud technologies and grow beyond essential desktop support.
Field Service Technician – MSP Experience
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDER
- Maintained ticket updates for reported incidents and experience with the help desk ticketing system (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Microsoft server solutions such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, clusters, etc
- Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Understanding of TCP/IP/ VPN
- Microsoft, Cisco, SonicWALL or other industry known,
- Create and maintain technical relationships with our clients
- Experience with Firewall & Router Appliances (Sophos preferred but not required)
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware,
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
