The Information Technology Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position provides first-line support to users, manages end-user hardware and software, and contributes to the overall efficiency of IT systems.
The Information Technology Specialist reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for a range of IT-related tasks.
• Provide first-line response for users requiring assistance with IT issues (software, hardware, telecommunications, SAAS, Intranet, organizational applications) via a ticketing system, including follow-ups until resolution is achieved.
• Configure, maintain, and support end-user hardware devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desk phones, and printers.
• Ensure that all mobile devices are configured and secured via Mobile Device Management (MDM) and that all operating system and app updates are performed in a timely manner.
• Support and maintain building security systems and access cards.
• Maintain user accounts, including creating, updating, and disabling access in a timely manner, and ensure the return of equipment upon termination or leave of absence.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and updates of desktop/laptop software and operating systems as required.
• Maintain the telecommunications system, including phones, voicemail, and fax, to ensure uninterrupted, efficient, and effective operations.
• Deploy and maintain mobile scanners and label printers.
• Monitor and escalate alerts from antivirus systems.
• Manage vendor relationships (e.g., Verizon).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• 3 years of experience in the field, with higher education preferred but not required.
• Microsoft Certified.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Server 2012/2016, including Active Directory.
• Experience supporting remote workforces, including VPN setup and management.
• Experience with VOIP, unified communications, and call center technologies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM).
This position demands a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient operation of the organization's IT systems.

The base salary for this role is between $50,000 to $70,000.
During the interview process, total compensation will be determined in alignment with market data, team equity, and the experience & capabilities of each candidate.
