The Central Coordinator must have experience in creating and implementing a detailed plan to ensure overall quality of all IT products, services, and systems. They must have experience in resolving all project or program release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve results. They must also have experience in assuring the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential tools.
Work as a Central Coordinator with a team of cybersecurity subject matter experts and researchers to support the management of research projects using the approved Institutional Review Board (IRB) platform. Perform project management functions, including workflow analysis and tracking. Manage and monitor submissions from all local participating sites for the assigned research project, notifying all sites of the requirements for a review, collecting comments and summarize them for review and highlighting any problems or concerns that may require additional required changes or modifications to the research project. Conduct analysis on lessons identified during the review process and coordinate for appropriate incorporation in processes and procedures. Coordinate updates for documentation (e.g., SOPs, Users Guides, Templates) related to IRB processes affecting centralized information security reviews. Coordinate with program managers, reviewers, and research staff to ensure timelines and service level agreements for reviews of externally sponsored research projects are followed. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems in an evolving area of cybersecurity, VHA research processes, and assist senior managers in coordination of client activities and deliverables. Ensure all reviews are completed in a timely manner, summarizing comments, and contacting the study ream to request additional information, and/or changes to the project or forms. Produce program-related briefing slides, identify process improvement opportunities, perform quality assurance reviews of work products, write whitepapers, and perform administrative duties to support a dynamic team performing centralized information security reviews for VHA research. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
You Have
10+ years of experience with project coordination and business process mapping
Experience With Collecting Information/data And Implementing Business Processes
Experience with health care Institutional Review Boards
Experience in the management consulting field, including strategy and change management and providing support to organizational leaders and stakeholders
Experience with managing complex projects to ensure they meet client expectations and are on time and at the quality level expected
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, SharePoint, and Visio
Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skillsand ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED and 18+ years of experience with business processes or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific/technical discipline and 10+ years of experience with business processes
