Remote Work option - This person will work their first 90 days in the office. If there is completion of successful 90 day evaluation, this person will have the opportunity to work 8 days per month in the office and the rest from home.
Focus is for Optimization/Support and Architecture for Inpatient Foundation
Salary range for this position is $101,420-$134,388; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Manager provides vision, structured analysis, process design, system selection, system architecture, development, testing, implementation and support of systems and stewardship of resources in an assigned area within the Information Technology Division. Serves as a leader in the development of individual team members and effective teams overall. Responsible for the identification, prioritization, resolution of issues, and the allocation of workload and resources within the assigned team. Ensures coordination and integration of workflow with other departments in the Information Services Division. Manages expenses, prepares status reports, and makes recommendations for service and product enhancements. Monitors performance and continuously improves the quality of services and products delivered. Prepares status reports on projects and operational performance of their area of responsibility. Reviews and evaluates work of staff members and manages departmental performance. Participates in Advisory Councils as appropriate to assigned area of responsibility and obtains feedback from end users to establish the direction, goals, and priorities of the assigned team. Serves as a key liaison with the leaders of OSF HealthCare.
Primary Job Responsibilities And Accountability
Provides input into the strategic and tactical information system plans that further advance the organizational strategic goals by making IT technology recommendations and preparing scope, timeline, deliverables and feasibility documents that include the estimated cost of required resources.
Engages with interdisciplinary management personnel to identify and design efficient workflow processes throughout the Enterprise. Develops supporting designs, work plans, assignments and guides activities of staff in order to maximize productivity and equalize workloads.
Develops useful indicators and techniques for monitoring and measurement of team performance, develops tools to report on performance, and uses performance indicators as a key input to continuously improve services.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships and effective communications with each division of Integrated Solutions, other departments of OSF HealthCare, and with the facility customer base served. Monitors team performance metrics and transparently works with customers to improve their team's level of performance.
Hires Mission Partners and develops them to their fullest potential. Provides opportunities, work assignments and feedback that challenge others to develop as leaders and cohesive members of their team.
Evaluates and makes recommendations to ensure that department staffing levels remain at acceptable levels and staff has appropriate tools and training to deliver expected services levels for their supported technologies
Recommends procedural and educational changes in professional development focus by facilitating discussion, cross-training and providing appropriate educational opportunities for Mission Partners.
Works with leadership to develop and track operational and capital budgets necessary to accomplish goals, to ensure adherence to budgets through periodic review of financial reports, and to document variances from planned expenditures.
Develops and maintains relationships with technology manufacturers and vendors. Oversees and approves contracts, work statements, invoices, support issues and product roadmaps for assigned technologies.
Adheres to and promotes global security policy, standards, guidelines, best practices, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and legal compliance; Ensures that staff follow security, ethical, enterprise and department policies/procedures and provides counseling when necessary.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree AND 4 years of experience in information technology, healthcare delivery, or project management
OR High School Diploma and 8 years of experience in information technology, healthcare delivery, or project management
Experience: Experience with system implementation and support.
Experience managing interdisciplinary projects that involve healthcare providers, hospital leadership, and information system professionals.
Experience with health information management system.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the healthcare industry with system implementation and support.
Experience with key OSF applications.
Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Related Healthcare will be acceptable
