Help at Home is seeking an experienced IT Senior Engineer with expertise in infrastructure and cloud technologies to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and computing resources, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will also play a critical role in implementing, administering, and supporting next-gen cloud platform migration and service offerings. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise for enterprise architecture design strategy, mentor junior engineers, identify technical maturation opportunities, and drive quality and standardization across platforms and technologies.
Responsibilities
Maintain and support existing enterprise-scale infrastructure and computing resources, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Implement, administer, and support next-gen cloud platform migration and service offerings, including the migration of on-prem infrastructure platforms and services to the cloud.
Participate in and provide technical expertise for enterprise architecture design strategy, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and robustness of the infrastructure.
Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance and support in infrastructure and cloud technologies.
Identify, promote, and advocate technical maturation opportunities to enhance infrastructure capabilities, including the development of standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud implementations.
Drive quality and standardization across platforms and technologies, ensuring consistency and efficiency in infrastructure management.
Architect and implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions leveraging cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.
Oversee the implementation of a Disaster Recovery (DR) framework and backup procedures to ensure business continuity and preservation of IT assets.
Leverage automation and modern deployment methodologies in a container-based environment to improve operational efficiency.
Develop architectural diagrams and documentation to effectively communicate the infrastructure design.
Conduct research on environmental issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose technical solutions to prevent/mitigate future issues.
Required Skills
Extensive experience with infrastructure support/engineering, including both on-premises and cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, including experience with cloud migrations and hybrid deployment topologies.
Proficiency in managing enterprise-scale infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, hyper-convergence, and storage platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS).
Expertise in backup, failover, high-availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Deep understanding of network technologies, including DNS, DHCP, NTP, and domain administration.
Experience with identity platforms, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (AAD), and Okta.
Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms, such as Office, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Knowledge of enterprise remote access solutions, including RDS, VPN, and SD-WAN/SASE.
Proficient in Microsoft server platforms and administration, from Windows Server 2008R2+ to current.
Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and Certificate platforms.
Familiarity with endpoint management and software distribution solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
Education And Experience
Minimum Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline (Computer Science, Software Development, Management Information Systems, etc.).
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure support/engineering.
Relevant certifications (CompTIA, MCSE, MCSA, etc.) are a plus.
