We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NOC Support Level II with network, Fortinet, Cisco, virtualization, Microsoft Windows, and ConnectWise ticketing system experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, configuring and maintaining network devices, ensuring network security, managing client support tickets using the ConnectWise ticketing system, and bringing system admin expertise to the role, particularly in the areas of virtualization and Microsoft Windows.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet networking devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, access control lists, and other security measures.
- Manage client support tickets using the ConnectWise ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement network infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of network activity, including changes to configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Bring system admin expertise to manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure, particularly in virtualized environments such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows servers and related technologies.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtualized environments, including provisioning and managing virtual machines.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a NOC Support role with system admin responsibilities, including virtualization and Microsoft Windows expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Experience with Cisco and Fortinet networking devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with the ConnectWise ticketing system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows servers and related technologies.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or virtualization certifications, are a plus.
- Note: The addition of system admin responsibilities in virtualization and Microsoft Windows will require the candidate to possess expertise in managing virtualized environments, deploying and maintaining virtual machines, as well as administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows servers and related technologies.
