Role Summary

The IT Manager, based out of our San Francisco headquarters, will manage various IT responsibilities, levering their in-depth expertise to assess issues and provide solutions. Reporting to the Director of Technology, this first-level manager will support a global staff, offices, subtenants, and subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a career-level professional, ensuring all aspects of the IT support function are focused on providing superior, user-friendly, and expert service to employees.
Minimum Skills
- Typically 8+ years of relevant IT education and experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
- Adept at analyzing and solving computer hardware and software, as well as standard office equipment, problems quickly
- Organized and diligent about maintaining accurate, complete and confidential client and company information
- Comfortable working autonomously using initiative and sound business judgment
- Intermediate experience with industry standard VDI environments
- Intermediate experience with active directory, firewalls, switches, and licensing management
- Advanced knowledge of Windows, Cloud Computing and other IT-related softwares and programs
Preferred Skills
- 10+ years of relevant IT education and experience
- 1+ years of people management experience
- Advanced internal networking skills
- Advanced software troubleshooting skills, especially with Autodesk & ESRI software
- Intermediate programming skills (Python, HTML, CSS, LISP, SQL)
Expected Outcomes
- Provides timely support services to employees with complex and/or escalated technical problems and IT issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services
- Manages and supervises the activities of the help desk, support staff with IT needs, and desktop/server/virtual desktop infrastructure support
- Resolves advanced hardware, software, network, and other related systems issues, researching and providing solutions for consideration
- Advanced planning of installations upgrades of PC components and software
- First responder to service outages, acting as liaison with local utilities and other vendors
- Tracks incidents in a software solution, setting goals and success metrics for bettering the internal infrastructure and the end user experience
- Trains staff on operating systems, office equipment and other basic IT functions
- Conducts company IT Onboardings and Offboardings
- Monitoring, tracking, and coordinating all IT functions between a cross-functional team and server locations across the United States and virtual IT operations internationally.
- Performs tasks such as setting up server racks, computers and desk setups, switches, wireless access points, ethernet and power cable distribution and organization, security systems, and other IT-related and monitored devices
- Other duties as assigned
