Overview:
Valta Energy is a fast-growing, privately held renewable energy company that originates, acquires, develops, finances, constructs, owns, and operates renewable energy projects across 16 states. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Responsibilities Include:
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive on-site IT support, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for employees.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and related documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and technology solutions to meet the organization's needs, taking into account cost, quality, and performance.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security, system reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and products.
- Train and support end-users on IT systems, software applications, and best practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (relevant experience may be substituted for education).
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role, preferably in an on-site support capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common office productivity software (Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with IT purchasing processes and vendor management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are a plus.
- U.S. citizen.
Location
This position will be located at in Dana Point, CA
Base Salary Range: $65K - $70K (depending on role, experience, and competencies) + discretionary bonus
