Responsibilities
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco routers and switches. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our network infrastructure. Your in-depth knowledge of Cisco ISE, Palo Alto, and Cisco networking technologies will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network.
Responsibilities
Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement complex network solutions based on business requirements, leveraging Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco routers/switches. Develop network architecture and configuration standards.
Network Security: Design and implement network security policies and configurations using Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ISE to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and remediate vulnerabilities as needed.
Network Operations and Support: Monitor and maintain the health of the network infrastructure, troubleshoot network issues, and resolve incidents and outages in a timely manner. Provide third-level support to resolve complex network problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth network operations.
Network Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques to enhance network performance and scalability. Conduct capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades when necessary.
Network Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity utilization.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with other network engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. Share knowledge and provide mentoring to junior team members. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Cisco ISE, Palo Alto, and Cisco networking technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco routers/switches.
Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level networks using Cisco ISE for network access control, Palo Alto firewalls for security, and Cisco routers/switches for routing and switching.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS.
Hands-on experience with network security technologies, including firewall rule design, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and AAA services.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
Proficient in network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
