Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist our senior security analysts in implementing and monitoring security measures to safeguard our systems against potential threats. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in cyber security, while working closely with experienced professionals who are dedicated to maintaining a secure environment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a passion for cyber security and a willingness to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security events and alerts to identify potential threats or incidents.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and assist in remediating identified risks.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
- Assist in investigating security incidents and participating in incident response activities.
- Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
- Help maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into the development and deployment of new systems and applications.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives by providing training and promoting best practices.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending new security tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, system vulnerabilities, and cyber security principles.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards, such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest developments in the field of cyber security.
