The Applications/Development & Integrations Manager reports to the Director of IT and Security and is responsible for oversight and management of all applications, integrations, and programs utilized at Group14’s Headquarters, offices, and production facilities. This Manager will provide planning, execution, performance management, and reporting of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role will work closely with the Information Security and Infrastructure Teams to design, control, and operate highly available systems on-prem and in the cloud. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and technical skills to set technical solutions to maximize the staff’s productivity and operational accuracy.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Design and build a team, process, and technologies to achieve a highly functioning App/Dev/Integration capability.
-Lead, coach, and mentor a team of talented engineers; on and off-site.
-Oversee all applications, development, and integration design and implementations.
-Oversee and contribute towards code development, unit tests and integration tests.
-Provide Supplier and Vendor management.
-Oversee Managed Services.
-Maintain Managed Service processes and access.
-Implement and support all systems integrations.
-Oversee Web design and development.
-Implement and Support All B2B Application Integrations (EDI, APIs).
-Provide best practices via design reviews and code reviews. Ensure delivery of high- quality, value-driven, operationally efficient features that support our technology platform and business initiatives.
-Actively participate, drive as needed, and deliver on the IT roadmap.
-Ensure that software engineers and suppliers comply with architecture standards and best practices that promote performance, scalability, security, and recoverability.
-Lead the day-to-day activities of the team and actively track the release deliverables and metrics for the team.
-Collaborate closely with other teams (and managers) to help with continuous improvement of the architecture, applications, tools and processes.
-Ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and on budget.
-Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams, including coordination across various time zones.
-Communicate effectively with all levels, keeping leaders apprised of strategies, operational progress, issues, concerns, mitigation, and remediation plans.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
-3+ years of managing teams within a development organization.
-7+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting Application architectures.
Deep Knowledge Of:
-SAP ERP/HANA.
-Cloud computing integration –Azure, AWS, Google and/or private cloud.
-SDLC.
-Programming with C++, Python, Object oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
-Software integration and deployment strategies including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes.
-Operating systems (ex. Windows, OSX).
Demonstrated Abilities:
-Ability to build relationships, balance multiple priorities and communicate across diverse teams within the organization.
-Demonstrated ability to manage resources, work across multiple projects and lead execution of simultaneous projects.
-Effective leadership and building culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability.
-Experience with managing the day-to-day activities of an engineering team in an Agile/Scrum environment.
-Experience managing vendors and managed services providers, including off-shore resources.
-Experience in working as part of a hybrid team that includes on-prem expertise and managed service providers.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Direct Experience supporting a Manufacturing environment.
-Experience with system management languages (e.g. Chef, Ansible).

The base pay range for this role is $140,000 to $175,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
