The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an IT Business Analyst to work with the customer and development team under the direction of a team lead to ensure the system functions as desired. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of requirements gathering, 4+ years of supporting software in a production environment and handling customer-reported issues, and 4+ years of developing business requirements documentation.
The candidate will also develop business requirements like project initiation documents, needed achievements, and quality measures.
The IT Business Analyst will be tasked to:
- Perform testing, requirements gathering, documentation, and provide customer support
- Work on a Scrum team or similar Agile development team
- Perform automated testing practices and software, such as Selenium
- Display strong organizational and writing skills
- Assist with training, develop user guides, or perform other BA activities when necessary
- Create user stories, tasks, and bugs in Azure DevOps Studio or similar software
- Communicate clearly and work with users and client as necessary
- Participate in facilitated workshops for requirements analysis
- Test or document requirements related to the accessibility of a software application
- Possess knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies
- Develop business requirements like project initiation documents, needed achievements, and quality measures
- Develop functional requirements including system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business requirements.
- Develop user and stakeholder requirements
- Interpret the needs of the stakeholders correctly
- Develop quality-of-service requirements, such as performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security, and usability
- Test accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
