Job Description:
Infosys is seeking Windows/Vmware Server Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Essential Job Duties include day to day Administration and Operation. The administrator needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with other teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Malta, NY or BurlingtonVT or be willing to relocate to the area. This work requires candidate to work out of Office premise.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 5 years of experience in Windows/VMware administration and maintenance.
• L2 or L3 support experience including Patching and Upgrade
• Installation & Administration.
• Build new instances environment and projects.
• Should have managed High availability clustered systems.
• Backup and Recovery.
• Experience on older versions and knowledge on latest technologies.
• Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.
• U.S. citizens or U.S. Green Card Holders are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Data center experience is a plus.
• Change Management and DR experience is preferred.
• Performance tuning and cross platform migrations experience.
• Automation with scripts is a plus.
• Troubleshooting Hardware related issue and working with OEM Vendors.
• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Good Communication and Analytical skills.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
