Job Responsibilities

The Vice President for Community and Continuing Education will provide leadership to contractual training programs, continuing education and economic development, apprenticeship programs, and dually enrolled high school students and youth. This Vice President will also represent the college and the division to internal and external constituencies.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

The College seeks candidates with a minimum of a master’s degree PLUS at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience. A Doctorate or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

A knowledge of external constituencies, to include four local school districts; economic development entities, to include local chambers of commerce; and overall service area needs and constituents.
An understanding of the intricacies of the college’s academic departments and the ability to work with those departments.
An in-depth knowledge of the interdependence of the college’s divisions.
Experience as a leader and implementer of organizational change and growth.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and administer a budget within institutional guidelines.
Self-confidence to take the appropriate risks to advance the college and the division.
