Full Job Description

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the proper functioning of various operating systems and servers within the organization to ensure that our applications run smoothly and efficiently. In addition, another component of this role is software installation. The role will implement various GRC software (ex. IBM OpenPages) for new clients and perform software and database upgrades for existing clients.

The tech stack is a combination of AWS and IBM Cloud, Windows Server 2016+, IBM DB2, and other IBM applications.

Key Accountabilities

Assist in various network design implementation projects

Provide support to management in all their IT related needs

Work with other members of the support team to understand requirements and provide server configuration assistance as assigned by various teams

Assist application support team in finding solutions to various identified issues

Advise on possible impacts from server-side maintenance, scheduled outage windows, and necessary critical update patching

Assist in end-user training for various internal training requirements

Manage service requests and problem/incidents

Consultative work around deployments, releases, and maintenance of systems (internal and external)

Participate on internal projects where required, ensuring that these projects do not bring on unexpected outages for various other systems

Obtain/maintain certification on most recent versions of relevant platforms

Participate in day-to-day SOC2 execution of tasks

May need to travel to other client locations as needed (primarily North American based)

Qualifications

Broad expertise in enterprise IT Systems (OS, network architecture, databases) and server performance. Experience with software installation, deployment, upgrade, migration, security and troubleshooting are preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience and expertise working with System Support / Administration and implementations

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
