Then this IT Manager position at the SC Department of Agriculture is for you. The ideal candidate would be a leader who can work across departments to service and support a variety of computer systems and peripherals.
Lead and supervise the agency’s IT team of two IT Consultants by prioritizing employee workload, organizing schedules, completing planning and evaluations, and assisting with problem solving.Facilitate communication among the IT team, with agency users, and other senior agency leaders.Provide end-user support, technical assistance, and troubleshooting with desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, cellular phones, mobile hotspots, VOIP phones, and peripherals.Oversee the agency’s IT Service Desk.Complete reports including the annual IT Data Collection Workbook and the InfoSec and Privacy Survey.Manage the monthly IT services billing. Manage the IT actions related to in and out processing of employees.Maintain and update the inventory of IT equipment and services.Serve as a liaison between the agency and technology vendors.Collaborate with staff to identify processes that can be improved and recommend solutions or new technical innovations.Oversee the agency's cyber security awareness training program.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field, and experience in telecommunications, data processing, and/or information technology. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Preferred Qualifications
Five years' experience providing end-user support, technical assistance, and troubleshooting.Two years' management experience.Demonstrated attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.Experience performing or supporting cyber security awareness trainings, assessments, and audits. Additional Comments
Ability to create and update documentation and procedures.Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with users, technical staff, and management.Ability to build relationships with technology vendors and consultants to vet, negotiate, contract, and renew technologies. Periodic daily travel is required throughout the state in a state vehicle.Must be able to lift 30 pounds.This is not a remote position.Willing to work two agency events per year.Professional attire and attitude required.
