The IT Systems Administrator works in partnership with the rest of the Information Support Services team to ensure quality customer service and high reliability in all technical aspects for the end users. The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to: end user support and training, program installation, and maintaining agency network and server-based systems. Work also includes collaboration on projects such as: conducting technical needs assessments, creating installation plans, analyzing and correcting network malfunctions, serving as system administrator and enhancing operating environments; and related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED plus a minimum of 5 years of technical support work experience; or, Associates Degree in Computer Science plus 3 years of technical work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate advanced computer skills.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Project Management.
Current networking and security standards.
Advanced troubleshooting and triage support.
Active Directory management and Group Policy.
Server configuration, virtualization, and troubleshooting.
Design, build, and maintain network and standalone database systems.
VoIP telecommunication systems, setup and management.
Web design, Search Engine Optimization, and social media management.
Office 365, G-Suite or other cloud-based services.
The capacity to quickly learn new technologies, focus on projects, and tolerate changing priorities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Driver qualifications are required for this position. Must have valid Oregon driver's license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and satisfactory drive record for the previous five years.
Successful registration with the Child Care Division's Central Background Registry.
This position is subject to MWVCAA's Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Provides effective technical and personal support to all MWVCAA programs. This may include training, regular and special reporting, program information system management, and mentoring other IT staff.
Manages servers such as: print, terminal and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Maintains server and network security.
Runs server backups on a regular basis.
Performs various audits and testing.

Potential exposure to trash and potential biohazards.
Exposure to electrical power, wires, cabling and sharp tools.
Occasional interaction with the public.
Occasional remote work from home or off-site locations may be approved.
