Position: IT Manager

Responsibility and Authority

The primary responsibility of the IT Manager is to oversee the company’s Information Systems technology by developing, evaluating, and managing the hardware, software, and IT infrastructure. The IT Manager will perform the day-to-day activities involved with administering the company’s hardware, software, and network assets and work closely with multiple departments to ensure technology systems are aligned with company objectives.

Information Technology Administration

· Perform administration, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and telecommunications systems for both corporate and remote employees.

· Ensure the security and integrity of data and information systems.

· Assist with the development and implementation of technology policies and procedures.

· Ensure security of data, user access, network access, and backup systems.

· Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions.

· Develop and manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

· Identify emerging technologies and trends that may be beneficial to the organization.

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.

· Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

· Deliver training on Information Technology and Security procedures to employees.

· Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Information Technology, Network, and Security Administration.

Network and Server Administration

· Proactively monitor and manage the company’s network infrastructure including its servers, virtual machines, and network components.

· Administrator and support complex network environments including Active Directory, User and Group Management and Policy, Permissions, Windows Updates, Network Connectivity, and integrated software solutions.

Regulatory Administration

· Lead and support activities related to the procurement and maintenance of certifications that can advance the company’s security efforts (SOC 2, ISO 27001/2, and NIST).

· Adhere to all regulatory requirements including ISO 13485 and the company’s Quality Management System.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

The Information Systems & Security Manager must have the following experience and qualifications:

· 3 + years of progressive experience in the management of information systems including the direct management of networks and servers.

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or other information technology-related field. Commensurate experience will be considered to demonstrate proficiency.

· Experience in administering Active Directory (on-premises and Azure) and Office 365.

· Experience administering AD Group Policies, WSUS, WDS.

· Windows Deployment Services / Microsoft Deployment Toolkit / Windows 10 Imaging & Deployment.

· Experience with VMware vCenter 6.x or higher.

· Experience writing policies, standards, and guidance documents.

· Strong knowledge of network security, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.

· Ability to travel based on company needs.

· Must be able to lift, carry, or move at least 35 pounds.

· Must be able to climb ladders to access data cables, antenna systems, etc.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate would possess a working knowledge in the following characteristics and skills:

· Experience with evaluating the functionality of information systems.

· Implementation and management of the security and integrity of backup systems.

· Cybersecurity, Network Infrastructure, and IT policy, standards, processes, and controls.

· Working knowledge of Security frameworks such as HIPPA, HITECH, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2 as they relate to Healthcare.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (written and verbal as well as technical and non-technical).

· Solution-driven, self-starter, and problem solver with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

· Ability to work successfully under direction, independently and in conjunction with other departmental and interdepartmental team members that have varying levels of technical expertise.

· Foster a positive working and collaborative learning environment.

· Working knowledge of current trends in the healthcare IT industry is a plus.

Work Environment and Hours

This position will be based at the corporate office located in Charlotte, NC and will require the employee to work daily at the office.
