Due to continued growth, HSI is looking for a Vice President, Content Operations to lead multiple content teams and optimize our content libraries as we continue to grow through acquisition. This role will oversee online training content development across a range of modalities, media types, and delivery channels, and will Identify, develop, and execute program content and directs the content development staff who write, design, organize, set up, deliver, and maintain the content portfolio. The successful candidate will have experience managing a large content library in an acquisition-focused growth environment, and have led multiple teams of content developers.

What You'll Do:

Lead development of best in class online training content

Manages Content Development teams across organization, including performance and employee development of team members.

Prepares and manages the department budget, oversees expenditures, analyzes the budget to identify budget needs, and allocates operating budgets funds.

Develops knowledge of and keeps current on industry trends, activities, and developments; and increases knowledge of emerging content that supports the company's products or services.

Standardize resource and project planning tools and processes.

Develop and enforce instructional standards, writing standards, visual standards, and style guide standards across all Content Development teams.

Drives the success of product metrics, including market acceptance, client satisfaction, client retention, and overall product utilization.

Work with product development, IT, Sales and Customer Service to convert market requirements into products and services.

Ensure timely execution of product roadmap deliverables.

Work with HR to create and maintain common job descriptions, skill descriptions, or career paths to be used across production teams.

Work with leaders throughout the company to ensure our content messaging is accurate, and our employees can confidently and proudly speak about our content brands, their features, and benefits.

Work with marketing on selection and submission of prominent award applications, speaking events, and other opportunities to raise the company’s profile.

Provides recommendations and clarification to top management in the strategic planning processes.

Networks, establishes relationships with, and directs the activities of outside Subject Matter Experts and other talent (voice artists, actors) as needed for production.

Establish and renew certifications with organizations such as IACET, PMI, SHRM.

Other Duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

7+ years experience leading a content development team, preferably in a SaaS-based B2B organization
Extensive experience in content development for adult learners.
Natural ability to relate to customers and prospects.
Ability to work effectively with different people across a team.
Exceptional knowledge of marketing, sales and content development processes.
Strong project management, problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Solid business acumen, management and marketing communication skills.
