Overview/Summary

This position assists in providing internal control testing, auditing and monitoring, and risk management and mitigation. This role will work to identify risk and ensure compliance with industry standards, relevant laws and regulations, and industry best practices. This position also assists in maintaining and developing appropriate policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues and concerns within the organization. Additionally, this position will support the Director of Data and Technology with designated tasks and assignments related to the Electronic Health Record.

Job Responsibilities

Support in ensuring compliance with Blackbird Health’s policies and procedures for information security
Analyze and update existing cybersecurity risk assessments
Build and maintain RACM with multiple compliance frameworks and standards
Prepare compliance reports and status reports, identify issues and report to senior management
Support key business initiatives by identifying security and compliance risks through Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
Work with HR to ensure internal compliance (including IT, vulnerability scans, annual training, etc.) are executed in a timely manner
Communicate to senior management, through reports, presentations, metricsand other documentation, any cyber-security risks identified
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the areas of Cybersecurity, Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or Information Technology
Understanding of Electronic Health Records
Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in health tech
3+ years of Security Compliance program monitoring and reporting
Knowledge of NIST, ISO, SOC, HITRUST and/or related frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting enterprise-wide Security Compliance programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize control gaps and audit findings
4+ years working in an operations environment, driving improvements resulting in measurable business impact
